This afternoon (11 April), network service disruptions were reported in the Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, and Tin Shui Wai areas.

 

According to HKBN’s preliminary investigation, the service interruption was caused by damage to the fibre optic cable due to third-party construction works on Castle Peak Road in Tuen Mun.

 

In response, HKBN promptly activated emergency protocols, notified affected customers, and informed the Communications Authority of the situation.

 

Following the emergency repairs conducted by our dedicated engineering team, services were fully restored by 8:00 pm the same day.
