HKBN Marks 25 Years of Service
Forging a New Chapter Together: 25 Years of Connectivity
(Hong Kong – 10 November 2025) HKBN Ltd. (“HKBN”, SEHK stock code: 1310, and together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) celebrated its 25th anniversary today with a ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Under the theme “Forging a New Chapter Together: 25 Years of Connectivity”, the event brought together partners, customers and media to mark this significant milestone in the Group’s development.
We were honoured to have Mr Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, as the Guest of Honour. He was joined at the lighting ceremony by Mr Xu Weigang, Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr Tony Wong, Commissioner for Digital Policy; Mr Chaucer Leung, Director-General of Communications; Ms Catherine Kwan, Assistant Commissioner of Police; Mr Yu Xiao, Vice Chairman and President of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association; Dr Wingco Lo, President of The Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong; Mr Jude Chow, Executive Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries; Mr Fred Sheu, Chairman of the Innovation, Data and Communication Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce; Mr Jason Wong, Standing Committee Member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce; and Mr Dave Chen, President of Hong Kong Computer Society. HKBN and China Mobile Hong Kong management participating in the ceremony included Mr Ling Hao, Chairman and Executive Director; Ms Shi Xiaoping, Director and Chief Executive Officer of China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited; Mr Li Xin, Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer; Mr Lei Liqun, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer; Mr Luo Weimin, Non-executive Director; Ms Cordelia Chung, Ms Kitty Chung and Ms Anna Cheung, Independent Non-executive Directors; and Dr Denis Yip, President and Group Chief Operating Officer.

During the ceremony, witnessed by Mr Li Xin, Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr Denis Yip, President and Group Chief Operating Officer signed collaboration agreements on behalf of the Group and HKBN Enterprise Solutions with leading organisations across various sectors, including McDonald’s Hong Kong, Octopus, Hong Kong Education City, Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong, VenusTech, Hong Kong Computer Society, Global IT Alliance, KKBOX and WeTV. These collaborations will advance the development of the digital ecosystem and support businesses in maintaining their competitive edge in the global digital landscape.
Additionally, HKBN presented awards to numerous long-term partners in heartfelt appreciation of their ongoing support. These outstanding partners across cloud services, cybersecurity and digital solutions have been indispensable to the Group’s success over the years.
Staying true to its mission of “Empowering Lives, Reshaping Businesses, Inspiring Innovations”, HKBN earlier this year established the HKBN InnoTech Ecosystem Alliance (iTEA), bringing together top industry partners to explore new opportunities. Exhibition booths at the event showcased cutting-edge innovations from iTEA members and partners, demonstrating a shared commitment to driving industry transformation.
HKBN will continue to enhance its “Infinite-play” strategy, enhancing the digital home experience with services such as 25Gbps GigaFast Fibre Broadband, home entertainment and Gerontech solutions. The Group will also expand its enterprise solutions to help customers grow their cross-border operations and accelerate digital transformation – evolving from service provider to strategic partner. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, HKBN will remain dedicated to innovation, working with sectors to build a smarter, more efficient future.
