HKBN Stands with the Community: Continuous Support for Residents Affected by Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Fire
(Hong Kong – 30 November 2025) A fire recently occurred at Tai Po Wang Fuk Court, and our thoughts are with all affected residents. HKBN is committed to providing continuous support and standing by the community during this difficult time.
Immediate support measures are as follows:
- Full waiver of fixed broadband and home telephone service fees for affected customers in Tai Po Wang Fuk Court until further notice. The waiver will be processed automatically, with no application required.
- All customer equipment damaged in the fire will be automatically exempt from related charges, with no procedures or returns required.
- Mobile service customers have been immediately upgraded to unlimited data and voice usage until 31 December 2025. We are also closely coordinating with major mobile network operators to develop further support measures for affected residents, with specific arrangements and implementation timelines to be announced in due course.
- Free 5G mobile routers and local data SIM cards are available to help residents maintain emergency communications and internet access.
- Last week, we swiftly gathered and delivered emergency supplies to temporary shelters, with our volunteer team on-site to provide assistance to residents in need.
In addition, we extend our sincere apologies for the recent sales outreach made to affected residents. We have immediately reinforced internal communications and guidelines to ensure all service arrangements align with current circumstances.
