HKBN and Venustech Forge Strategic Partnership to Deliver Exclusive Integrated "Network + Security" Defence Solution

(Hong Kong — 19 January 2026) Hong Kong Broadband Network (HKBN) announced a strategic partnership with Venustech, a member of the HKBN InnoTech Ecosystem Alliance (iTEA) and a leading cybersecurity service provider in the Chinese Mainland. The collaboration will exclusively expand the reach of Venustech’s core cybersecurity solution, “Venus Firewall”, in the Hong Kong market. This initiative combines Venustech’s national-level security expertise with HKBN’s local network capabilities, offering an integrated “network + security” solution with end-to-end protection for enterprises to counter increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

Premium Security for High-Standard Enterprises, Providing Reliable and Robust Dedicated Line Protection

“Venus Firewall” is designed for financial institutions, multinational corporations, and large organisations with stringent demands for network performance and security. The solution has helped over 1,000 large enterprises fortify their cyber defences. It integrates deeply into dedicated line gateways, such as MPLS and SD-WAN, delivering multi-layered security enhancements – continuous threat monitoring, advanced intrusion prevention, and data leakage protection of all critical business traffic for security, stability, and compliance.

By establishing end-to-end encrypted private channels, “Venus Firewall” safeguards data confidentiality and integrity during transmission, preventing risks of leakage and tampering. It also features a visual operation and management platform, empowering enterprises with real-time visibility into security postures, attack trends, and threat interception. This shifts the paradigm from passive defence to proactive control, enhancing security operational efficiency.

Dr. Denis Yip, HKBN President and Group Chief Operating Officer, said: “This partnership is a strategic integration of both companies’ core strengths. By combining Venustech’s leading cybersecurity technology with HKBN’s extensive fibre network and enterprise service experience, we will jointly deliver comprehensive, end-to-end security solutions – from network infrastructure to the application layer. This will empower enterprises to achieve sustainable growth, while effectively managing and mitigating potential risks.”

Pan Zhuting, Deputy General Manager and Chief Strategy Officer of Venustech Group, said: “As global requirements for data security and compliance grow increasingly stringent, enterprises need more resilient security architectures. We will continue to leverage innovative technologies and expertise to help businesses achieve secure and sustainable development in an interconnected world. Moving forward, HKBN and Venustech will deepen our collaboration in areas such as cloud security and security operations. We will jointly build a more robust and intelligent protection system for enterprises.”
