HKBN Invests HK$100 Million In “AI+ Domestic Computing Power Platform”
Featuring the Leading Domestic GPU Technology with Integrated Enterprise-Grade OpenClaw AI Solution
(Hong Kong — May 7, 2026) HKBN today announced its “AI+ Domestic Computing Power Platform”. HKBN also signed agreements with Suanova Technology, under Yeebo (International Holdings) Limited, and T&Y SmartTech to jointly advance Hong Kong's artificial intelligence (AI) industry. HKBN Group has invested HK$100 million in AI industry ecosystem development and operation.
The “AI+ Domestic Computing Power Platform” is an enterprise-grade, one-stop AI application solution. It integrates leading domestic GPU computing power, advanced models, network connectivity, and industry-specific application services, designed to provide businesses with a low-barrier and scalable AI deployment option and to help address core pain points enterprises face during AI implementation – including insufficient computing power, data security concerns, and compliance risks – and marks a significant step towards building Hong Kong’s self-driven AI ecosystem, further cementing its status as a leading technology hub in Asia.
The platform announcement ceremony was successfully held today. We were honoured to have Professor Wong Kam-fai, Legislative Council Member and Associate Dean (External Affairs) of the Faculty of Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as the Guest of Honour. Together with Mr Li Xin, HKBN Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer; Dr Denis Yip, HKBN President and Group Chief Operating Officer; Mr Chen Daliang, CEO of Suanova Technology; and Ms Zhang Qing, Founder and President of T&Y SmartTech. They jointly presided over the kick-off ceremony, witnessing an important milestone in the development of Hong Kong’s AI ecosystem.
Domestic Computing Power, Localised Deployment
The Group’s HK$100 million investment is used to integrate local network infrastructure and computing resources in response to enterprises’ growing demand for intelligent computing power. The platform incorporates computing power resources from the leading domestic GPU technology companies, MetaX and Biren. All hosting facilities are located within a major data centre in Cyberport, with both physical and network protection designed to protect customer data and AI workloads. At the same time, this deployment supports the development of Cyberport’s start-ups by providing them with a stable and reliable computing infrastructure.
“Model Aggregation” Offers One-Stop Access, Unlocking Business Value
The platform offers a model aggregation function, providing one-stop access to multiple large language models. Users no longer need to register multiple accounts across different platforms, and can easily switch to the most suitable model resources based on task requirements. This results-driven design enables enterprises to go beyond the limitations of any single model and focus on creating business value.
Pre-Purchase as Needed – Flexible Scaling and Precise Cost Management
The service adopts a “Token-as-a-Service” pre-purchase model. Enterprises will no longer be burdened by heavy upfront hardware investment. Instead, they can pre-purchase the computing power Tokens they need based on actual business requirements. They can freely choose from a variety of large language models, and with the enterprise-grade OpenClaw solution, flexibly deploy high-value, cost-effective resources to suit different scenarios – optimising return on investment.
100+ Pre-loaded Skills – Enterprise-Grade OpenClaw Debuts
The platform comes pre-loaded with over 100 general and industry-specific skill packs. Together with HKBN’s enterprise-grade OpenClaw platform, it covers scenarios such as general office work, financial compliance, video generation, AI marketing, and project management. On the security front, the system has built-in fine-grained role-based access control (RBAC), prompt injection defence, and comprehensive audit monitoring – helping enterprises deploy AI applications quickly and securely.
Professor Wong Kam-fai, Legislative Council Member and Associate Dean (External Affairs) of the Faculty of Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, remarked: “I am honoured to witness the unveiling of HKBN’s ‘AI+ Domestic Computing Power Platform’. By introducing the leading domestic GPU technology and model aggregation, HKBN is enabling enterprises to access top-tier AI models through a single, integrated platform – a best-in-class response to supporting Hong Kong’s AI development. I look forward to the industry working together to nurture AI talent, deepen industry applications, and establish a secure and compliant framework for the responsible use of AI, turning a new page for Hong Kong’s smart technology development.”
Mr Li Xin, HKBN Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, stated, “Rooted in Hong Kong for many years, HKBN has consistently responded to national strategies by leveraging our core strengths in network infrastructure, systems integration, and managed services. With an investment of HK$100 million in the ‘AI+ Domestic Computing Power Platform’ to take concrete action in supporting Hong Kong’s AI industry development, we are helping Hong Kong become a leading smart technology hub in Asia, and contributing to the nation’s development of new quality productive forces.”
Dr Denis Yip, HKBN President and Group Chief Operating Officer, added, “As a strategic partner for enterprises undergoing AI transformation, HKBN Enterprise Solutions has fully integrated our three core strengths – network infrastructure, system integration, and managed services – to build the ‘AI+ Domestic Computing Power Platform’. By bringing together leading domestic computing power and models with a flexible ‘Token-as-a-Service’ model, we are lowering the barriers for enterprises to adopt AI. We will continue to deepen industry applications and help local businesses seize the opportunities presented by AI innovation.”
