HKBN Announces Appointment of Ms Shi Xiaoping as New Chairman of the Board
(Hong Kong – 11 September 2026) HKBN Ltd. ("HKBN" or the "Company"; SEHK stock code: 1310, together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") today announced changes to its Board of Directors, effective 11 September 2026.
Mr Ling Hao has resigned as Executive Director, Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the Nomination Committee of the Company due to other work commitments.
Ms Shi Xiaoping has been appointed as Executive Director, Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the Nomination Committee of the Company, effective 11 September 2026.
Ms Shi is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited ("China Mobile Hong Kong"). She holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and is a Professor-level Senior Engineer.
Ms Shi served as Deputy Manager and Manager of Engineering Construction Division and Manager of the Network Operation and Maintenance Management Division within the Network Department of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. ("China Mobile Communications Group"), Director & Deputy General Manager, General Counsel of China Mobile Communications Group Yunnan Co., Ltd., Deputy General Manager of the Network Department of China Mobile Communications Group. She subsequently served as Director & Executive Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel of China Mobile Hong Kong and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of China Mobile Hong Kong. With over 25 years of distinguished experience in the telecommunications industry, Ms Shi brings an extensive track record of strategic leadership and senior management expertise.
Ms Shi Xiaoping, HKBN Executive Director and Chairman of the Board, said, "I am deeply honoured to be appointed as Chairman of the Board of HKBN.
