Fair Remuneration

 

To attract, engage and retain the best Talents, we offer competitive and fair compensation packages that align with local market standards. In addition to salary and discretionary performance bonuses, all full-time Talents are entitled to the mandatory provident fund (retirement plan or equivalent) scheme, along with an array of leave and insurance benefits.

 

Talent performance is appraised through a comprehensive process that encompasses self-assessments, supervisory evaluations, review meetings, and company-wide performance calibrations. These assessments serve as a basis for determining salary reviews, bonus allocations, and promotion nominations. On an annual basis, we conduct reviews of compensation packages to ensure they align with individual performance, contributions, and market trends.

Be a Pioneer

 

Be a Pioneer is our in-house programme designed to identify and nurture high potential Talents, imparting them with the necessary skillsets to step into a management role. Each year, participating Talents undergo development of their core leadership competencies, which include development centred on leadership profiling, risk management, design thinking, entrepreneurship, finance and many others.

Be a People’s Leader

 

Featuring a variety of instructional courses, workshops and practical projects, Be a People’s Leader is a tailor-made programme that helps our team leaders and supervisory-level Talents gain the skills and mindset to lead in much more effective ways.

Free Pharmacist Consultations for Talents

 

In 2023, we teamed up with Hong Kong’s largest health and beauty retailer, Mannings, for HKBN x Mannings PharmaCare pilot programme, a pioneering programme that provides HKBNers, our family members and even domestic helpers with free pharmacist consultation services and medication at Mannings Pharmacy stores in Hong Kong. Exemplifying our Talent-first focus on benefits and flexibility, our programme allows HKBNers to use Mannings’ officially issued pharmacist’s notes when applying for 2 days of sick leave – bypassing the traditional doctor’s note.

Summer Innovator Programme

 

Over the years, our 8-week Summer Innovator (SI) programme has been adventurously designed to immerse university students and fresh graduates into something broader, different, and more impactful than the typical corporate internship. With an agenda chock-full of exposures to career-life lessons, opportunities to shadow our senior-most leaders and much more, the SI programme attracts thousands of young candidates annually from the world’s top universities to apply.

Career Rotations & Internal Transfers

 

As an ideal place for building careers, we offer a variety of opportunities for internal transfers so that Talents can gain all-round exposure across more aspects of our business and operations. Our Career Rotation Programme gives Talents a 1-year pathway to strengthen their resilience and develop new skillsets as they face new challenges, whilst working with a different set of teammates.

Management Trainee Programme

 

Our Management Trainee Programme in mainland China is designed to nurture and cultivate promising young Talents, morphing them into well-rounded leaders with a heavy emphasis on innovation and transformation. This program plays a vital role in our succession planning strategy as it cultivates a pipeline of capable Talents to take on key roles and drive our future success. Through targeted development initiatives and hands-on experiences, our trainees are empowered to grow and excel amid an always changing business and technology landscape.

Enterprise Solutions Graduate Trainee Programme

 

Our Graduate Trainee Programme is an 18-month structured development platform designed to cultivate and accelerate the development of promising young Talents into information technology leaders. In 2023, we welcomed four Graduate Trainees who are currently immersed in a comprehensive development journey, which encompasses invaluable mentorship from senior management, a diverse range of skills and leadership development programmes, engaging process improvement projects, dynamic job rotations, and much more. Through a holistic approach, we’re equipping these Trainees with the balanced expertise needed to excel in their future roles.
