HKBN Trade-In Service Terms and Conditions

1. Trade-in service is only applicable to brands and smartphone models specified by HKBN from time to time. Please contact HKBN for details.
2. Trade-in service is only available at designated HKBN shops.
3. The device for trade-in must be a genuine original product without any modifications and must include the original battery. Following inspection by HKBN, the device must be confirmed to be in normal operating condition, in good performance, and compliant with the trade-in standards set by HKBN. HKBN reserves the right of final determination regarding the condition of the device and its eligibility for trade-in.
4. The trade-in valuation offered by HKBN is only valid for immediate trade-in upon completion of the device inspection. Should the customer choose not to proceed with the trade-in immediately, the valuation shall automatically become void.
5. The final trade-in value is subject to adjustment and will be determined by HKBN based on the actual condition and extent of damage of the device at the time of inspection.
6. Customer declares and warrants that customer is the sole legal and beneficial owner of the device for trade-in, and has the absolute right to sell, transfer and deliver the device to HKBN; that the device is free from any liens, claims, or encumbrances and/or that trading in the device will not infringe upon or prejudice the rights of any third party. The customer further warrants that he/she has full legal authority and capacity to sign this confirmation letter and complete this trade-in transaction. The customer agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless HKBN against any and all losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from any breach of the warranties mentioned above, or any third-party claims regarding the ownership of the device.
7. Prior to handing over the device for trade-in, the customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all data (including but not limited to SIM card(s), personal data, photos, videos, and credit card information) has been completely removed from the device and/or backed up. Upon completion of the transaction, HKBN and/or its partner(s) will perform data erasure on the trade-in device. HKBN shall not be liable for any loss of, access to, recovery of, or failure to transfer of data from the trade-in device.
8. Under no circumstances shall the trade-in device be returned once trade-in service confirmation letter is signed. HKBN shall thereupon become the sole legal owner of the trade-in device and shall hold absolute and clear title thereto.
9. The trade-in value shall only be applied towards the immediate purchase of a new device at  HKBN’s designated shops and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit to HKBN service account. Unless otherwise specifically stated, this value cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or instalment payment plans.
10. HKBN reserves the right to refuse to accept any device for trade-in.
11. Customers must be 18 years of age or above to be eligible for this trade-in service.
12. In the event of any dispute regarding this trade-in service, HKBN reserves the right of final and conclusive decision.
