Terms and Conditions of Booking and Rental of HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi:
Booking, rental and use of HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi is subject to the General Terms and Conditions of HKBN (please visit: hkbn.net/tnc/en/general.html),

and these terms and conditions. If there is any inconsistency amongst the above mentioned terms and conditions, the following will be the order of priority: these term and conditions (the highest),
Special Terms and Conditions of HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi; General Terms and Conditions of HKBN; Terms and Conditions of GlocalMe. Subscriber understands and agrees that HKBN has the absolute right to
revise all the terms and conditions from time to time, while HKBN will endeavor to give 30 days' prior notice to Subscriber before such revision takes effect.
Subscriber shall book for HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi through online booking portal and pay the rental fee listed on the online booking portal to rent HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi.
Subscriber can redeem free rental days with the promo code within the redemption period. If rental period is longer than the free rental days, Subscriber shall pay the extra rental fee. If Subscriber is existing HKBN customer, extra rental fee will be deducted from his/her HKBN account. The amount of extra rental fee is subject to the online booking portal.
Rental period is counted from the Departure Date registered by Subscriber until the Return Date. The maximum rental period is 30 days.
Subscriber can book for HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi through online booking portal within three to sixty days before the Departure Date. Subscriber must pick up and return the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi within designated time period and at designated location. After the order is confirmed, Subscriber can review the order details on online booking portal. If Subscriber wants to make any changes (including the pickup and return location or rental period) or cancel the order, Subscriber must handle through the online booking portal three days before the original Departure Date. HKBN will send a redemption notice to registered email address of Subscriber two days before Departure Date.
If Subscriber redeems free rental days by using promo code, Subscriber cannot change the order after the promo code redemption period. If Subscriber cancels the order, such promo code will be void automatically and cannot be reused.
If Subscriber does not pick up HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi at designated time period and location, Subscriber will be considered as giving up, the promo code cannot be reused, HKBN will not return any rental fee or provide any compensation. If Subscriber returns HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi before the designated Return Date, the rental fee will not be refunded.
Subscriber shall, in accordance with the designated location and within the designated time period to return the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi to HKBN. If Subscriber fails to return the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi within the designated time period, Subscriber shall be liable to pay the Late Return Fee (i.e. the Original Rental Fee) equivalent to HK$58 for each day of delay, which will be billed into Subscriber’s HKBN account, without further notice
If Subscriber fails to return HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi within 14 days from the designated time period, will be handled as lost. Subscriber shall pay Compensation Fee and 14 days Late Return Fee, such Compensation Fee and Late Return Fee shall be deducted from Subscriber’s HKBN account according to these terms and conditions without further notice.
Full amount of collected rental fee will be returned to Subscriber’s HKBN account (if applicable) if the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi is not available in stock or due to other reasons which causing HKBN cannot provide service according to the agreement, no further compensation will be given; if Subscriber uses the promo code to book HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi, such promo code will be reactivated, Subscriber should use such promo code within the original redemption period, no further compensation will be given.
When Subscriber picks up HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi, Subscriber should check immediately whether HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi functions normally or not, the accessories provided are complete or not. In case of loss, damage or theft of the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi (or its accessories), Subscriber shall be liable to pay the following Compensation Fee to HKBN:

In case of loss, damage or theft of the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi, Subscriber shall immediately notify HKBN by email (HKBNBroadband@hkbn.net). Subscriber shall pay Compensation Fee according to these terms and conditions, such Compensation Fee shall be deducted from Subscriber’s HKBN account without further notice.
If HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi and/or accessories provided (including case and USB cable) cannot function due to any reason within the rental period, Subscriber must notify HKBN immediately by email to HKBNBroadband@hkbn.net. There is no refund or any compensation if Subscriber notifies HKBN after returning HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi and/or HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi cannot function because of damage caused by human, inappropriate operate, or mis-used by Subscriber.
Subscriber shall comply with the appropriate usage of HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi as suggested by HKBN, take responsibility and treat the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi as if it is his/her own property and in his/her best effort to take care and return to HKBN in a state which should not be worse than prior to Subscriber’s rental.
Subscriber shall not sublease, transfer and/or pledge the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi to a third party and/or damage ownership of HKBN.
When daily data usage reaches 500MB, maximum upload and download speed for thereafter data access is 128kbps. Daily Charge is levied on a daily basis. There is no pro-rata calculation of Daily Charge even if Daily Pass is effective and terminated within the same day. A day means from 00:00 to 23:59 (Hong Kong time) wherever a Subscriber is and the cut-off time is 23:59 (Hong Kong time) each night, wherever a Subscriber is. Actual data transmission speed that Subscriber experiences may vary due to internet traffic conditions, local conditions, hardware, software and other conditions which may arise.
Smartphone and other communications equipment which can connect to the internet using data service may incur roaming charges. Before using HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi, Subscriber shall turn off (stop) your use of the mobile phone roaming function (data roaming) and use the phone Wi-Fi capabilities to connect HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi for data communication. if the roaming capabilities is not turned off so that Subscriber's equipment is directly connected to the 3G/4G network, Subscriber’s use of the internet data will be charged roaming charges overseas. Please note that in this circumstance, HKBN takes no responsibility for the fees incurred.
The service performance might be affected by tunnels, subways, rural areas and/or distant islands. HKBN will take no responsibility and Subscriber would still be obliged to pay the rental fee.
If Subscriber suffers an accident or damage to his/her property due to the use of HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi, HKBN shall not be responsible in any way for whatever reason.
HKBN will not be responsible for the failure to access the internet using the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi, as a result of Subscriber’s smartphone error and/or settings which fail to provide Internet services.
HKBN takes no responsibility if the HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi is leading to short-circuit or fire or any accidents through inappropriate, careless use or misused by Subscriber, from which causes any casualties and losses as a result. HKBN advises Subscriber to pay attention and use HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi with care.
For any disputes arising from this HKBN Travel Pocket Wi-Fi, the decisions of HKBN shall be final and conclusive.
